Went to Portlandia the Tour last night at the Berklee Performance Center. Mostly I was distracted by Carrie Brownstein’s skinny jeans. It was really great fun. They handed out slices of booby cake from Sweet-n-Nasty (Boston’s erotic bakery). They played a slideshow of awkward photos. They did a Q&A where Fred explained that Candace’s wig was inspired by people in Portland who just own their gray hair. They played “The Dream of the 90s,” “She’s Making Jewelry Now,” Springsteen’s “Dancing in the Dark,” and a couple of special guest Fiery Furnaces’ Eleanor Friedberger’s songs. I loved it!
